Johan Glans goes on World tour of Skandinavien
Following the success with his last tour ”World tour of Skåne” and two years as an actor in ”Spamalot” and the movie ”Kvarteret Skatan reser till Laholm”, Johan Glans return to the stand up-scene with a brand new show for the fall of 2012 called ”Word tour of Skandinavien”. It premiers in September in Norway and then continues to Finland, Denmark and Iceland. The show hits Sweden and Halmstad the 10 of October and is followed by a tour all over the country with a total of 38 performances until the spring of 2013.
Johan Glans has worked professionally as a stand up-comedian since 1994. In ”World tour of Skandinavien”, he returns to the stand up-scene after two years as an actor in the theatrical success ”Spamalot” and the movie ”Kvarteret Skatan reser till Laholm” which became number one at the Swedish Box Office.
– I’m excited to return to the stand up-scene, says Johan Glans. It has been great to act in a wig and armour for two years and now I’m looking forward to standing on the stage with just a microphone and a plaid shirt. Stand up is where I started and it’s still what I enjoy doing the most.
As the name suggests the ”World tour of Skandinavien” plays outside of Sweden’s borders. The tour starts in Norway and then continues to Finland, Denmark and Iceland before it arriving in Sweden and Halmstad the 10 of October. Afterwards follows 38 shows around the country on a tour that will run until the spring of 2013.
It will be the first time Johan performs in Denmark and on Iceland and he is not totally reassured by the task.
– It’s nerve-racking; I’ve never done shows in Denmark or Iceland before, and never in English. A lot of the Swedish references are completely incomprehensible to Danes and Icelanders. Other Swedish comedians have told me that Denmark ”it’s impossible”. So it will be a challenge, in a worst-case scenario I’ll at least have something to talk about when the tour hits Sweden.
